180806 Reflections on serving on the field

photo of Eglise Pentement in Paris where the ceremony was held

Two weeks back, I had the sad privilege of participating in the funeral of a young man B. from China. He had graduated from the prestigious Beijing technological university, was then in France and graduated first in his entire school in 2013!

He came to ElimParis back in 2013, during a time of wanting to get his directions right in life. He got serious with the Lord. I had the joy of inviting him to accepte Jesus into his heart. He was baptised in the presence of his grandma, mum and friends that year. His career and life then took him to Bordeaux and that was the last that I heard of him.

As I was at the huge protestant church, reading the passage on the resurrection of Lazarus, I had a new revelation of “what really counts” in our life with the Lord Jesus. It is not what we do but who we are that really counts, for who we are will direct us to be doing what HE wants us to do in this life =)

May we be guided by the spirit of God to do “Our utmost for His highest” in our lives.  Praise Him for everything !
