200830 Divine Peace

Dear friends,

As I set out to pen down this report, the number of COVID19 cases in France has gone back to 5413 cases in the last 24 hours, making the total number of cases in France 277 943 persons.

There is a period of great uncertainty here in Paris as we are bracing ourselves for a possible 2nd wave. The words come to mind : “When peace like a river attendeth my way, When sorrows like sea billows roll. Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul”.

In this time of uncertainties, I am thankful to the Lord for how he has given us divine peace, and used us to be instruments of HIS PEACE.

We are thankful for lives touched during the COVID19 period in the Paris work. We are thankful to the possibility to visit and minister to members during the time the church is physically impossible.

Natalie and her children in the south of Paris. Natalie is thankful to the Lord for His strength and provision for her and her children during this difficult time. She is thankful that God allowed her to continue to trust HIM for her provision in her needs.

I thank God for the faithfulness of members who continue to meet to pray for the country of France and for God’s church in Paris.

I am thankful that during the confinement period in France, Rebecca and I could be able to continue the ministry in the hospitals of Paris to encourage families of the sick and dying patients. It is a privilege for my wife and I to be bringers of peace to those in times of need.

Bro Xiangyu

Since the month of March 2020, the restaurants have been forced to close in France. In spite of all these difficulties, Bro Xiangyu (our church treasurer) thanks God for His faithfulness for his restaurant business. God has provided for him and his family during this time when businesses are experiencing great challenges. He thanks God for his peace beyond all understanding.

We thank God for the opportunity tosend a love gift to “King of Kings” church in Beyrouth, Lebanon, after the terrible explosion in her city. We thank God that we are able to be bringers of His peace for a time a great suffering in the city. Pray for this city that is suffering.

We are thankful for the opportunity to participate in the Singapore national day celebration in August. Apart from sharing Rebecca being able to share her favorite dish with the Singapore community in France, we are also able to present our ministry to bring comfort to the people in Paris 🙂

I thank God for the invitation by a mediacorp channel 8 reporter to share about my work of visiting the hospitalised during the COVID19 situation, as a bringer of God’s peace. I am thankful for this opportunity to present this work of counselling and compassion in the French hospital systems during a time of unprecedented challenge to the french health system. I am glad that the message of His love could touch individuals in distress during this trying time (on the 8world.com website, facebook and youtube)
