Be Strong in HIM 2020

Hi friends,
As I look at the rising unrest in France, with the open demonstration every Sat by the yellow vests population around the country, it is true that un political judicial solution to this situation has become quite challenging.

The nation of France has “leaped-frog” Singapore to rise to have more cases of CORONA virus infected people within the span of the last 10 days!

The passage of Paul, which encouarages us to stand strong, to break-through through Jesus in our present situation comes to mind:

Eph 6:10 Finally, my brothers, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might.
Eph 6:11 Put on the whole armor of God so that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.
Eph 6:12 For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the world’s rulers, of the darkness of this age, against spiritual wickedness in high places.
Eph 6:13 Therefore take to yourselves the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.

Here are some praise reports to share with you, of the wonderful work that God is doing in spite of such challenges 🙂

In ElimParis:

What a joy to receive the ministry of Dr Michael TAY, our good friend from Elim Singapore. His message of encouragement that “DIEU est fidèle” (God is faithful) preached in French, with his personal life story of how God helped him during his years in France, was a big blessing.

What a joyful time to welcome to our services M. Bernard BAR, the husband of Sis LiLi. It is wonderful to see how God is able to trun hearts towards Him, replacing hearts of stone with a heart desiring for Jesus.

In the midst for a difficult family situation, Mme LIN found her way to the church and received counsel and encouragement from John and Sis.Johanne.

We thank God for Barbara, who has given heer life to Jesus after starting the discipleship course with Ptr Rebecca. She brough to church all the statues of her old religion, holy water bottles and other articles of susperstition for destruction at the church. Praise the Lord!

Thank God for Pascal and Katherine MAGISSONS who has a heart to help us to reach people for Christ through associative actions. Who thank God for this Franco-Malaysian couple who have such a heart for caring and reaching people!

We had the joy of welcoming M.LaCène one of the Sundays, one of our friends we reached out to during our coffee outreach. Thank God for creative evangelism. So true that outreach is demonstrated when God’s people go out to reach the lost.

Association Actions:

We had autorisation from the Paris town to contact the director of the local shopping center in Paris 13. The director was so favorable towards our desire to give free coffee tea and biscuits that he has given us ACCESS to do our FREE coffee distribution action since Jan 2020. Praise God for all different individuals touched by this work.

Hospital ministry:

Since 2020, John is now missioned by the Protestant chaplaincy services in France to train new volunteer chaplains in Paris. What a privilege to bring His light to suffering patients isolated from churches and their families!
